Once used for the judges’ lodgings, the rooms at The City Rooms have now been beautifully decorated to provide opulent boutique bedrooms in the heart of Leicester City Centre.
Whilst our bedrooms are a luxurious, hidden gem in Leicester City Centre, we would like to point out that the building is incredibly old and therefore our bedrooms are only accessible by stairs. Please bear this in mind when planning your stay.
Should you wish to have any recommendations on eating out, we are only too happy to help. We are within walking distance of many great restaurants and would recommend St Martin’s Square just a short walk away.
Our beautiful bar is not open on a daily basis, however drinks can be arranged in advance. If you would like to purchase any beverages for your stay, please advise at the time of booking and we will happily stock your in-room fridge with bottles of beer or wine. An extensive wine list is available to choose from.

Please note that we are situated near the town hall clock which can be heard at the hotel. Based on events over the weekends noise levels may be higher than normal.

Whether you’re with us for a celebration or wish to stay for business or leisure, our luxurious bedrooms are perfect. All our bedrooms have King beds, are fitted with a flat screen TV, fridge, Internet access via Wi-Fi and come with the usual comforts of tea / coffee making facilities, hair dryer and iron. Please note; our bedrooms are not accessible by lift.
We organised our son’s wedding reception at City Rooms. This is a beautiful majestic venue. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We held our first in person staff away day at The City Rooms in May. The venue was clean and had good COVID safety measures in place making for a relaxing and enjoyable event. Communication before and during the day was quick and helpful and the staff were all friendly and accommodating.
We had a great afternoon at The City Rooms in December for our company Xmas lunch. The service was excellent, food great and the room was perfect. We would definitely recommend to other businesses looking for a private function.
