On the 16th July 2011 Andy and Navjot tied the knot and celebrated their big day at The City Rooms. Over 150 guests attended the wedding and the ceremony was held in our Ballroom.
The couple had the Ballroom draped with gold and white material which matched the gold dashes on the chair covers. Personal touches made this wedding even more beautiful with a carved woodwork of their initials N&A which was displayed in the Ballroom.
The Harpist played as the Bridesmaids entered
followed by the grand entrance of Navjot and her father. All eyes where on Navjot and Andy as they met at the top of the Aisle.
After the Ceremony The City Rooms took the Ballroom from being the ceremony room and turned it around for the formal Wedding Breakfast.
Andy and Navjot treated their guests to a delicious 3 course meal, some of the dishes included sheesh kebabs, onion bhajis, pea & paneer curry, chick-pea curry and chicken curry. Dessert was a trio of panacotta, mini rasperry cheesecake and chocolate truffle cake. All these dishes were prepared and cooked with our very own chefs at The City Rooms.
Andy added his own personel touch and named the tables after Man City football players. Both Andy and Navjot planned every detail of their day from tasting to mock table set ups. They chose the menu and even brought in a local ale for their guests to enjoy.
The room was also made beautiful with the help of some talented wedding suppliers. The draping
was set up by More Productions www.moreproduction.co.uk/ Chair Covers supplied and dressed by Rainbow Linen www.rainbowlinenhire.com/ Our Candelabras were decorated with flowers by Belle Fleur www.belle-fleur.co.uk/ The room looked lovely on the day and now they have all these stunning photographs taken by the talented Matt Stanton www.mjstanton.com
It was a fantastic wedding and the wedding co-ordinators and staff at The City Rooms would like to wish Navjot and Andy all the very best and thank them for choosing us as a venue to hold their wedding!

The City Rooms Charity Ball in association with Rainbow Hospice for Children and Young People will take place on Friday 26th August 2011.
The glitzy fundraising event is hoped to raise awareness of Rainbow Hospice and the invaluable care and support they give to young people in East Midlands.
Kiran Parmar from The City Rooms said: “ We are delighted to host such an important fundraising event at The City Rooms. We hope as many local businesses as possible will take part as support the regional charity.”
The evening will commence at 6.30pm with arrival drinks and canapés, followed by a four-course meal, silent auction and raffle draw. The evening will round off with live music and dancing in the magnificent ballroom.
Harry Ludlam from Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People said: “Sadly, some children simply don’t live long enough. Since 1994 we’ve opened our doors and hearts to those children and the people who love them most.
“We actively encourage fundraising events like this as now more than ever, we need help from charitable people in Leicester to keep on bringing care and happiness to our children and families.”

On the 2nd July Carly and Jordan had their wedding reception in our grand ballroom. Carly had a vision on what she wanted for her big day and she had Wedding Co-ordinators Vicky and Cherlynn to make sure it became a reality. After the ceremony guests arrived at The City Rooms with an arrival drink of champagne and delicious chocolates dipped strawberries. Canapes included Gressingham Duck with Port Jus and Potato Rosti and Mini Fish and Chips. Guests were then ushered upstairs to take their seats for the Wedding Breakfast, the chosen menu included the following dishes:

Starters
Main Course
Dessert
As seen in the pictures all the flowers shown and the magnificent 6 tier cake was provided by talented duo Emma and Oliver at Belle Fleur www.belle-fleur.co.uk

Later the Ballroom was given a makeover by coloured up-lighters in fuschia pink and a dance floor was created for the their first dance as husband and wife.
The couple were wonderful to work with and we wish them all the best for the future!
